This is a family blog. Visitors are always welcome. We'll love your comments! In fact, the Bixbys have always been very hospitable. But remember: this is a family blog. It is about us. Oh-- and Family, remember that visitors drop in any time they want. So let's keep things in the closet and under the bed that should stay out of sight to visitors. Let's be real, but as Dad used to say, "Remember your last name!"

The missing pictures from Mother's Day
I uploaded pix from my camera to iphoto and found that Bob had taken pictures on Mother's Day. None are with me and the kids, but it does show how we spent our evening. It was nice and relaxing with friends. And what you don't see here is that Bob even changed the dirty diaper after going to Walmart for more diapers and a change of pants for Corban! He was (and IS) my hero!! And it made for a great, relaxing day and I felt very spoiled!!

Newburyport and Rockport, MA

We then headed to Rockport which is a beautiful little town. Tim and Ruth treated us to lunch in a little restaurant right on the ocean. You can see in the picture of Miriam and me that we had a great view! It was a beautiful day, beautiful scenery, and very enjoyable company. We have lots of good pictures so I will try to get those uploaded on FB so you can see them all.

Mother's Day
The kids choir and the adult choir sang "Forever Fathful" on Mother's Day. This is only a practice, so it isn't even the real thing, and it is only a small part because my batteries went dead!
Mother's Day Daisies!!!

Since no one else seems to have taken any pictures, I thought I would show you the beautiful daisy plant that Dad got me! It is really huge. To quote a very famous person in our family,"What a guy!"
Now, I will take all your suggestions on how to keep it alive!

McDo's French Style!
"France has a dirty little secret. Despite its role as the defender of healthy eating in the world against “la malbouffe américaine”1 (American bad eating habits), the country also claims the title as the #1 consumer of McDonald’s products in all of Europe! In fact, the biggest restaurant chain in France is McDonald’s! Does this mean that the French are actually all addicted to Big Macs and super-sized fries? And how do they still stay so thin with all of this grease flowing through their veins?
As an American living in France, I must admit that McDonald’s burgers all seem to have a fresher, juicier taste over here. I personally believe this is because McDonald’s France has always committed itself to acquiring its raw ingredients (buns, meat, produce, etc.) from local French providers as much as possible. Not only does this cut down on street protests, but the beef, chicken and potatoes also most likely originated in some French farmer’s backyard and are therefore so much tastier."copied from the blog "Agathoune!" Hope that isn't illegal but I did so think you would get a charge out of it!

This Week's Visitors!

Bergmans were rather in and out! We did get a little visiting in but they were on their way to the states for a 6 month furlough. Christina was saying good-bye as she will stay in the states for college.
Babs and Charles were here for the weekend. We enjoyed visiting with them and everyone was glad to see them this morning at church. It has been quite a few years since they have been here on a Sunday morning. They say hi to all of you!
