We agreed to keep the secret and wait until Mommy and Daddy saw the chairs. But we didn't have to wait for long...Tim saw it as soon as they walked in. New chairs for 1 euro and a fun project with the grandkids.
This is a family blog. Visitors are always welcome. We'll love your comments! In fact, the Bixbys have always been very hospitable. But remember: this is a family blog. It is about us. Oh-- and Family, remember that visitors drop in any time they want. So let's keep things in the closet and under the bed that should stay out of sight to visitors. Let's be real, but as Dad used to say, "Remember your last name!"

Our "Secret" Project!
What started out by a simple "let's fix the broken chair" turned into a big project. Micaiah and Miriam were all into it and really, really worked hard. We stripped off the old material, flipped the bottoms and fixed the broken one, and covered the chairs with material from "Grandma Morgan's attic" :-) (now Mimi Bixby's garage!), cleaned the chairs and voilà!

We loved our surprise! Thank you so much for the work on our chairs AND for taking such good care of our kids so that we could go to Paris. We are so very grateful for you both!
ReplyDeleteNice! I'm impressed with the kids work!
ReplyDeleteMom, you're amazing! But, I can't see them well enough. Can you get a closer up picture. Love it!
