This is a family blog. Visitors are always welcome. We'll love your comments! In fact, the Bixbys have always been very hospitable. But remember: this is a family blog. It is about us. Oh-- and Family, remember that visitors drop in any time they want. So let's keep things in the closet and under the bed that should stay out of sight to visitors. Let's be real, but as Dad used to say, "Remember your last name!"

Visitors from La Reunion
This evening we had Luc and Brigitte for supper. They are here from La Reunion for three weeks. The girls, Miora and Mialy, are at Arc-en-Ciel for two weeks of camp. We had a really nice time with them. Can you believe that it has been ten years since they left? By the way, Tim, Luc wants you to know that La Reunion is part of La France :-)
What's the weather like in La Reunion? We just might get "the call". ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt was a record-breaking 104 degrees here yesterday, and supposed to be reaching up that way again today.
Greet them for me.
It's good to see their faces again. I imagine the girls are really grown up now! Tell them hi for me....
ReplyDeleteThey have not changed one iota! Exciting to see them again.
ReplyDeleteI can't help but celebrating the God who grants persevering faith. I remember when they were dating. I went to a youth retreat in the mountains with one of Doris Gilbert's last hoorahs. I distinctively remember thinking that they wouldn't go very far because they weren't as "on fire" as some of the others were.
ReplyDeleteAs it turns out, some of the "on fire" ones are not even walking with the Lord and this couple steadfastly plods forward. Thank God for the grace of persevering faith.
Also, thank God that people aren't permanently stuck in the places where our judgment categorizes them!
