We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with "Aunt" Doris Gilbert last week. She was extremely gracious and hospitable to us, and we made ourselves right at home! The kids especially loved riding around on her golf cart. And she is one active lady, volunteering at the dining hall, the hospitality house, the local hospital and she even hosted a churchwide meal while we were there. We were glad for the opportunity to be a part of her world for a few days. Thanks, Aunt Doris!
This is a family blog. Visitors are always welcome. We'll love your comments! In fact, the Bixbys have always been very hospitable. But remember: this is a family blog. It is about us. Oh-- and Family, remember that visitors drop in any time they want. So let's keep things in the closet and under the bed that should stay out of sight to visitors. Let's be real, but as Dad used to say, "Remember your last name!"

So glad you were able to stay with Aunt Doris. She just wrote and said how much she enjoyed all 4 of you. She is Grandma's age--I wonder if I will have half the energy at that age.
ReplyDeleteShe hasn't changed a bit! Glad you had a good time--and the go cart does look like fun, Micaiah and Miriam!
