This was very sobering--to face the reality of so many lives lost for the freedom that we take so for granted. Definitely an experience to make us more grateful for those who lost their lives and those who fought so bravely. Thank you especially to my two grandfathers who are already with the Lord, and to Mr. West and Mr. Holmes--two men I have come to love dearly as "grandfathers". I am thankful for the sacrifices that you made on our behalf.
I remember visiting those same beaches and cemeteries with Grandpa. Especially sobering when a WWII veteran was standing there seeing that along with me.
