Together in Massachusetts
We arrived in Stoughton yesterday afternoon, and have enjoyed seeing the Hansons' new home. It's truly charming! Even better than that has been the fellowship. Miriam got to celebrate her third birthday for the third time tonight. It's pretty nice, this being-on-the-road-for-your-birthday stuff!

Choir practice
Thought you might be interested in seeing the family's newest choir director and accompanist at work. Notice the drama. Can't imagine where they get it!

ADOPTION DAY!
One year ago today, Corban officially took on the name Bixby. We are so grateful to the Lord for the way He orchestrated events to enable Corban to be a part of our family. Samuel Corban BIXBY, we love you!!

Miriam's 3rd birthday
Well, she hasn't been in the same place for a birthday yet. 1st birthday--France, 2nd birthday--Taylors, SC, 3rd birthday--Orono, Maine. We had a little scavenger hunt for her at the church where we were staying last Wednesday. Her first gift was a little diaper bag for her babies, and then every successive stop was something new to go in it. We had fun.

Corban's eyes are beginning to get that sparkle back now, but I have to admit that on Wednesday he had us parents pretty concerned. Swedish American took great care of us and we even had the same nurses as last year! We hope not to need them next February!! Corban and Mommy were delighted to get home Friday night and my dear little boy even is getting his happy Grrrrrowl back!! I am hoping that all is back to normal by tomorrow so we can join in the Berryman celebrations as they return from Africa with their two new daughters!!

Repas Agape 2008
We had our 15th annual Repas Agape last night. The crowd was smaller than some years, but we still fed 42. Derek made the poster from Mauritius and the girls decked it out. The middle top picture you get a glimpse of Jana Christy, who stayed with us all week. She was 100% into it and was a big help. Hyo Soeng was my right hand. Anne did a reading and we had a girl's choir. Florent preached and did an excellent job. The last time that he was at a Repas Agape was in 1998 when he was 17 and played Little Red Riding Hood in a skit! We had lots of visitors.

My Shower
The ladies of IBC gave me a baby/house warming shower tonight. They were so generous. As you can see, Stefan got a lot of clothes! We also got some needed household items. It was such a blessing, and it was also a nice time of getting to know some of the ladies. It started to snow while we were there. I drove home in the snow--a first! We have about 3 inches so far and it is still snowing.
Moving In!
We're finally here! Here are a few pics detailing our move into our house. Notice the snow that fell on the day we moved in.

Johanna, Brian, and Stefan Have Arrived in MA!
Because a lot of you have been following Johanna and Brian's move, this is a quick, picture-less update. (I know that's shocking coming from me, but I'm not there to take the pictures!) Johanna arrived just about 1 hour before Brian and Ben on Wednesday afternoon. (Thank you so much, Ben, for driving the truck up there. That was a huge blessing.)
Everything went smoothly with the unloading, and they were even able to save the piano from a near tragic end! (Where's Dave when you need him?) Apparently Brian leaped over the banister on the deck to catch the piano before it crashed to the ground. (Brian said he didn't know he could jump that high!) Thank the Lord he was able to catch it, and it is safe in their new living room. They had a good group of people to help them unload for which they were truly thankful. The biggest disappointment is that their bed does not fit in their bedroom, so they will have to settle for the box spring and mattress directly on the floor. The kitchen is significantly smaller than what she had here, so Johanna said it was going to take some strategic planning to make things fit!
The church has been very welcoming: hosting them, moving them in, providing meals the next couple of days, and they had a food pounding for them: Jo is sure she won't need to buy cleaning supplies for over a year! They did move in in the snow, so they have had a true induction to the northern weather.
Stefan did great on the plane ride. Never cried a bit which made things much easier for his mother! God is good.
Thank you to all those who have prayed and helped. They will post pictures of their small, cute abode when they get internet access.

Our Big Boy and his Toys!!
I thought that you all would enjoy seeing Corban playing with some of his new toys that he got for his birthday!
Bob and I had a good laugh tonight as I had read in a magazine that by 15 -18 months he should be stooping to play with his toys, may walk backwards and may be able to carry a toy while walking!! LOL Let's just say that Corban would be bored if that is all he could do! ... oh and he is only 13 months!! I have to say is that Corban is a great workout for Mom everyday too!

Micaiah with makeup!
THE PIANO!
Dave said, "Judging on the way this is wrapped, I take it to be your most prized possesion?" :-) IT IS!!!
THE MOVE
Jo and Brian were so organized and there were so many people to help that the truck was loaded in about 45 minutes flat! They practically backed the truck into the house! Soraya Casillas made a dinner and then we cleaned. Very little left to do except go back and mop. Brian and Ben Bixby pulled out this morning at 5:30.
