American Girl

Miriam wore a new outfit on Sunday (one that has been hanging in the closet for some time waiting for her to grow into it). I thought her hat made her look like she came fresh out the pages of the American Girl magazine, and thought you might enjoy seeing my cutie.

My Birthday Party!

Saturday night we officially celebrated my birthday. It was fun. We had grilled pork loin, potatoes, salad. That is not the cake I won from WMUU, that cake was way to small so we had to buy another one to supplement! It was lots of fun. Thank you, everyone!

FINALLY MEETING CORBAN!!!!!

We were finally able to see this darling boy that we had prayed so much for. God is good. We love Samuel Corban Bixby SO much!

(Isabelle REALLY liked Milou--so much that she drove me crazy, and I'm sure the canine went just as crazy, and has slept ever since we left!)

(Also......Auntie Jennie made a delicious Texas White Sheet Cake....out of the M cookbook.......Elise liked it so much that the first opportunity after we got home, she made one too! :-)

Vive la France!

We enjoyed Friday evening with 5 other 'cousin' couples. We had such a fun time together. I tried to serve a French meal......or shall I say several French meals in 1 night!

I served corn salad, lettuce salad, French bread, LOTS of cheeses, olives, raclette, potatoes, broccoli, cheese fondue, crackers, beef, chicken and shrimp fondue with sauces, Orangina, Perrier, espresso, chocolate mousse, creme brulee, etc. etc. etc.

We had a fun time taking them to France for the night.

BIG RED!

We are pleased to announce the new addition to our family. Our new baby is 1 yr old with fairly low miles. We have already broken him in on a road trip to Rockford, and seemed to handle it all very well.
As you can see, we went to pick the kids up at school. They didn't even know we were working on trying to buy a van before we left for Rockford! Elise's picture says it all! It was SO FUN!

Corban photo update!

Here are the lastest pictures, especially taken for the Birthday Auntie that requested them. The sweet Pooh outfit came from said sweet Auntie and we wanted her to know that we all wish her a Happy Birthday and we all wish we could be there to help eat the great ice-cream birthday cake that she got form WMUU this afternoon! We also made a point to take the photos in a place that you all could get a better idea of our little one's size. He is round, healthy and sweet, and loves to coo.... especially for his sister as you see in these pix, but he is NOT the size of a two year old...yet! We love you all and wish you all could drop in for a cuddle and a snuggle, a kiss and a giggly wiggly coo.

Some of Liz's family were directed to our blog to see pictures of the baby, so I promised I would post some of tonight's "photo op". Viviane cooperated pretty well despite her hunger. The black and white ones were actually taken on Monday at the hospital. She's precious.

I realize that this photo is from two years ago, but I thought you would all like to know that Johanna passed her recital check today, so she is officially "on the road" to her recital which is April 14. We hope to see you all there! Congratulations, Jo!!

We had originally planned on going to the parc, but we ended up not having car seats so we took a walk around the block and then picniced in the yard! I don't think Micaiah was convinced that a walk around the block was as fun as the park would have been, but alas, he took it very sweetly! After lunch we got out the kite as it was a very windy day. Just so you know, the kite in the background photo is mine. I actually got it up and staying up for a while. I've never flown a kite before--it was lots of fun! Great day, great memories made! Thought you all might enjoy.
