A taste of our wild weekend.
We had a wonderfully wild weekend which started with picking Shannon Brown up from O'Hare on Thursday. We took him downtown and had lunch and then "Bob paced" it through Millenium Park and then body pressed onto a train (metro) to go and see Betsy play a cranky Lucy in "Your a good man Charlie Brown". Friday Bob then went to a bugle corp tournament with Shannon and Chris (Bob will have to blog those pix) and Saturday back to the burbs of Chicago for a cookout at the Altizers and another showing of "Charlie" with our Global Grace friends. By Monday we were tired, but not too tired for swedish pancakes!!

I forgot to mention that Betsy's family was all there on Saturday night. It was fun meeting them.
Please excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is that mirrored ball behind all of you? Glad you had a good time.

Ruth,
It's the "Cloud Gate" at the Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. Check here for the facts on this interesting piece of architecture. We (like many people) call it the "Jelly Bean."
Donna please come and I promise that we can do a great tour of chicago without the running marathon race! I know that we failed the first time, but please do give us a chance to redeem ourselves. I promise to bring some extra $$ for a few cab rides even!
We would love to have you all!!
Great point, Donna! I agree with you. :-)
Yipee!! Does that mean that you will come up for Thanksgiving?? And you MN's, are you coming down?
Looking at internet for the first time in days....looks like you had fun. Betsy's family is great so glad you got to meet them. I guess we have to miss Thanksgiving :-)
Well, you know that you are always welcome for Thanksgiving or anytime Mom and Dad. We will be glad to see you all only weeks later at the wedding of your youngest!
OOPs! Missed the action under this heading! You should all come to Minnesota for Thanksgiving!!!! :-) That would be fun! It is a lot further for the SC crowd, though. There's an open invitation, though!!!!! :-)
