Some more Family fun in Rockford!

We had a great time with Tim and Ruth's family! Wednesday we were able to visit the "Pumpkin Patch" with the other missionaries and the Metras. We all agree that we got the picks of the Patch!! Of course, the most exciting part of that venture is was the ride on the bus! Then today we are just enjoying sitting around and chatting Bixby style (A few laptops were present!) and the kids played to their hearts delight. But once again we proved that excitement is drawn to the Rockford Bixby's when a Fire Truck parked outside of our neighbor's house. (He is a retired Fireman and they were apparently just visiting!) The Firemen graciously allowed the kids to climb on the truck and take lots of pictures! Michaiah was especially impressed! It made their days!

Okay... so now what?
You're going to send them up to boring Minnesota? How are we supposed to top all of that?
I was going to take them to a piddly, good-enough-for-southerners apple orchard. Now what do I do?

You're funny, that's EXACTLY what I was thinking the entire time! Danno, we've got to THINK FAST!

Minnesota is never boring--how can it be with 3 great kids and their parents to visit with! We wish we could be there, too!

Oh, thank you thank you! I don't have time to examine them this morning, but I will later. They are precious! Glad to see some pics!

D&B--Maybe you could order some cooler weather and even some snow! I know that would make at least one Southern girl happy! ;-)

More seriously--you'll notice we went to a pumpkin patch, not an apple orchard, so the kids are still eager to "pick apples". But if that doesn't work out--I'm sure a new set of toys and some of the world's best cousins will entertain them for an ample amount of time!

Good grief! They have to buy your kids some new toys??!!!

We will figure something out!

Ruth, I'm sad to say......it's supposed to get up to 85 degrees in MPLS. tomorrow!!! This is CRAZY!

I was thinking the same thing about the toys--a whole NEW set? Nothing like asking straight out!

The pictures are even better upon close examination--scrapbook time! Pics for the calendar--please send them to me.
