Adoption Day!
I'm so sorry this is a day late. I thought about it earlier in the week and then.... Corban, we are so thankful that God gave you to us. You are a direct answer to our prayers and a constant reminder of God's Sovreignty over every situation. We are glad you have the name BIXBY. Lots of love, little guy, and we hope you're feeling better. WE LOVE YOU!

In the Park with Stefan
In contrast with the weather in Maine which we experienced on Thursday, the weather in Raynham, MA was a balmy (yet windy) 57 degrees on Friday. While Brian and Johanna went on a date into Boston, we were privileged to take care of Stefan. We enjoyed some play time at the neighborhood playground.
Now That's Snow!
We spent Wednesday night in Guilford, Maine (above the 45 degree parallel, which marks the Canadian border for most of the states, the exceptions being NH and ME). We stayed in the home where Burt's Bee's Wax was started (pictured top left). We got to see what living in snow is really like!

Miriam's Birthday Activities
We began Miriam's birthday by treating her to one of Auntie Jo's chocolate chip cookies in bed. (Are we spoiling her, or what?) Then Uncle Brian ran out to good ol' Dunkin Donuts, and we all enjoyed those for breakfast. We had her requested birthday meal in the afternoon: chicken, rice and green beans. Then we Skyped Papi and Grandma Bixby for the blowing out of the candles on the ice cream cake, (She doesn't really like cake; so we just stuck with the ice cream.) and the opening of the presents. After energy-boosting naps for all the kids, we geared up and headed into the big city to visit the Boston Children's Museum. Johanna has posted pictures of our evening at the museum here. It was a great day, and we all had a blast spending some quality family time together!

Valentine's Day in Rockford... 2009
I know that it's almost a week later, but we had so much fun on Patience's day off of school last Friday that we wanted to show you what we did. We make it our Valentine's Day, since Bob took me out on a double date Valentine's night with free babysitting at church!! As you can see in the pictures I am going to be out of a job when these great kids grow up and take over the kitchen!! It was a FUN day!!

Valentine's Day!
Feeding Stefan
We had the great privilege to babysit Stefan while his parents went out on a date. Micaiah enjoyed getting to help feed his little cousin.
On a Mission of Love
This afternoon, Viviane and I took a heart shaped CCC cake over to each of our college students and to Jonathan and Maria Baker and Grant Christy. We didn't get to see everyone, but we did get to see the Foster girls, and Henry, and Maria! I was soooooo excited to see Maria. She hasn't changed at all except for being a little bit older. Same sweet sweet Maria! (Sorry, I was so excited to see her that I forgot to take her picture!) Viviane was a little apprehensive about the act of showing love to "strangers", but being the good MK that she is, she jumped right in and did her part! It was fun!
Repas Agape 2009
Here are a few pictures of our Repas Agape. We had 39 seated and 5 teens and 3 ladies helping. Mark Nelsen was the speaker. He did a great job and related well to everyone. As usual, more than half were first timers. It was a rather noisy crowd--unusual for here! Everyone seemed to have really enjoyed it. I put a picture of Rebekah and Jessica in (bottom left) . I think most of you know that Rebekah was recently saved--and what a change! It was lots of work but worth it :-)
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
You 10 people are the most important people on the planet to me. Thank you for being such wonderful examples of God's love demostrated in earthly form. I love you all dearly and your wonderful children. Have a wonderful day!

Birthday Party!
Since all of you, except maybe Dan and Brenda, know Judy well, I thought I'd post a few pics of the 50th bday party we had last night. Her two lovely daughters planned a beautiful event and even surprised her--though they told her the night before, so she would be prepared! It was a beautiful evening honoring a beautiful lady. (Aunt Donna made the cake. Jeanine arranged the flowers. I arranged the napkins!!!) :-) Judy is a great friend to many people which was evidenced in the 75-100 person turn out.

Are you this talkative at 6 AM?
I thought I would let you in on a little of our normal morning sounds. Stefan is very talkative when he wakes up. And it is usually early. This morning he was telling Daddy a nice story so I thought I would share. (And if I'm blogging before 7 am you know he got up early!)
I posted a different video clip here.
