Spring Concert

Tonight was the Spring Concert at Patience's school. It was special for several reasons: she had both of her Grandmas there, it made two concerts that this Grandma had attended in one year!(what are the chances of that ever happening?), and she got sweet kisses from her little brother afterward. Mommy and Daddy were both there too :-) Good job, Patience! We were all proud of you!

Here are a few shots of some of the things we have been doing. Patience's school had "Moments with Mom" on Friday morning, so Grandma got in on that special breakfast, too. Playing outside at Aunt Jo's was fun while it was warm and then when it turned cold we had supper at Aunt Jennie's ! Fun, Fun.

Old friends are special!

The volcano has caused lots of grief this week for many people, but it has had its good side. We are enjoying having Eric Elmer and his colleague here for a few days until they can fly back home. Vernon and Jan's planned visit was extended. Last night we had our first cookout of the season with all of the above and Ed Christy and Tim and family.

It has been many, many years since we were all in CAR together and you kids were young. It was lots of fun sitting around talking about the CAR, the Sango Bible project and of course, our children!!

I'm 4 months old!!!

Well, actually 4 months 3 days by now. :) Haven't had his doctor's visit yet this week to be able to give you an update on his stats, but thought you would enjoy these pictures from "Mommy's Photo Studio" that I managed to snap just before heading out the door for church yesterday. Auntie Brenda gets the credit for the outfit, as she and her family picked it out for Micaiah several years ago!

Nati's Getting Married!!!!

Thought you would all like to know that Nati is getting married to Rebecca (not sure of her last name but those of you who have been to the Guetli might know her). The wedding is May 29. He looks quite happy about it, doesn't he? Seems that we will be heading to Switzerland in a few weeks :-)

Since we missed Corbans, shame, Auntie Donna, we will celebrate it now. We are so thankful for the Lord working in mysterious ways and bringing two special children into our lives in two very unique ways. We love you both!

Enjoying spring

Though it has rained, rained, and rained, we have enjoyed moments of sunshine that remind us that spring has truly arrived. Last evening the sun came out for a bit and we enjoyed a few minutes in the park.

We were especially glad to have our camera back after two months in the States on furlough for repairs.

Wow! It is hard to believe that it has been 38 years since you were born. I am sure that your "birth story" has been told more times that we can remember. Our tiny baby grew up to be a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and of course, son! We love you. Have a wonderful day.

I'm afraid I'm a little behind on getting this posted, but I just thought I'd fill you all in on what happened last Wednesday afternoon after M & M spent some time spring cleaning with Papi and Mimi. :)

In their defense, the dishwasher box came from our house. But I didn't manage to get all the other little treasures captured on camera. Nevertheless, the kids enjoyed them! Don't ask where they are now. ;)

The Beginning of Our Week :-)

Monday night we were invited to the Christy's for supper. It was a fun evening-- especially watching Ed and Sylvia with the baby :-) Jana was there, too, but her picture got cut off the picture :-(


Then today we had Micaiah and Miriam for lunch as we do on most Wednesdays. It was special because we are finally having some nice weather and we ate on the porch for the first time in 2010! Then we did some spring cleaning. Fortunately for me, Micaiah is a great junk collector so our trash can isn't over flowing. Not sure what his parents think of it but he was laden down with treasures when they went home!
