This is a family blog. Visitors are always welcome. We'll love your comments! In fact, the Bixbys have always been very hospitable. But remember: this is a family blog. It is about us. Oh-- and Family, remember that visitors drop in any time they want. So let's keep things in the closet and under the bed that should stay out of sight to visitors. Let's be real, but as Dad used to say, "Remember your last name!"

What Fun!!! Elise, looks like you were up and ready for your day for breakfast "in bed."
Ben, are you starting lessons? You look like a pro already!!!
Looks like a painful loss, Isabelle! Did you get anything under your pillow for all that pain??
What can a say??? Quite the couple, D and B!!!!!!!
I LOVE the birthday cake! Elise, I have complained to Tim several times since we've been back that I never got to hear you play! I'm encouraged at least by the fact that you must be enjoying the piano enough to want it on your birthday cake. ;-) Next time, you're not getting off the hook so easily!
Poor Isa. The pains of growing up. =(
Wow, Ben. That instrument fits you nicely. And you seem to have the pucker down already.
And speaking of pucker ... Uh-hmmm. Better stop there. Except I will say that I admire your bravery, Brenda, to cozy up so close to that face!
Thanks for posting.
Thanks for posting! The pics are GREAT!
"Aunt Jo....I did get supping undaw my pillow. One dollaw bill. I love you all the way to Fwance and back again."
Brenda, you look so much like your mom!!
A one dollaw bill? No faiw! When I was a kid it was only a qwataw if we wew lucky!
Bravo, Isa! It looks like you were quite the brave little girl surviving that! I remember losing mine----no comments from my elder bros, okay!
Thank you everyone for your wonderful birthday comments! I had a stupendous day and will never forget it! Thank you, also, Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Donna and Patience and Aunt Jennie for calling me... I enjoyed your singing very much! (In the picture of me holding up a 13 was a wonderful card that Ben and Isabelle gave me. They are precious.)
Glad that you all have had such wonderful memory makers lately. You are a radiant teenager, Elise; a dashing brass player, Ben; a stunning couple D&B; and a brave little girl, Isa. I hope that Patience is so brave when she looses her first tooth, which is a little more loose every day! Psst, I hope her tooth fairy is so generous here in Rockford!
My, my, my---Elise, you are the bestest teenager I know. Your cake is cute. Did your Mom do it? And Ben, when did you start taking lessons? You, your Dad and Grandpa will have to play a trio at Christmas time! Isa, ouch, that hurt. But a whole dollar? Do I see a visit to the $ store soon? As for JFK--he looks a little chunkier than I remember him. But Jackie is quite the gal!

Mom, you're oh so kind as to not bring up Jackie's weight gain!:-)
We had so much fun at the party. Ruth, the JFK thing just evolved....I found the dress at a thrift store that had Jackie's name all over it! We did have to order the mask on-line, though.:-( Hey, I think it's better than what my sister and brother in law were----Bill and Hillary! ;-) Right?! Hillary was spending the whole night raising support. I gave her all of the Monopoly money from my purse that I had. :-)
Patience, be sure to blog when you lose your tooth!
Ouch, Mom. Yeh, I guess that's probably true. What can I say. I guess D Dubya should lose a few.
Ben and I would love to play a trio with you, Grandpa. As long as you're willing to play "Old MacDonald" or something!
Does that mean you're coming up North to see us?
