This is a family blog. Visitors are always welcome. We'll love your comments! In fact, the Bixbys have always been very hospitable. But remember: this is a family blog. It is about us. Oh-- and Family, remember that visitors drop in any time they want. So let's keep things in the closet and under the bed that should stay out of sight to visitors. Let's be real, but as Dad used to say, "Remember your last name!"

And we are SO very proud of you! Unbelievable. God has certainly given you grace abounding to be so disciplined. And the results are there for all to see. Love you.
Well, as I said on your FB note, I'm very moved emotionally as well. To me, it's a gospel testimony. The earthiness of the gospel is something that, if it was taught to me, I never began to understand until recently. We tend to be dualists, the material and the spiritual are worlds apart and the relevancy of the gospel to folding socks, for example, is ignored.
Jennie spoke at a somewhere recently and said exactly that -- how the gospel enlivened her to match socks. One lady from a different church was almost scornfully befuddled by what she was trying to say and simply could not understand her. It's sad because she does all kinds of official church ministries but her private life enjoys very little gospel power, particularly in the earthy areas of matching socks, losing weight, or mood control.
I am realizing that we all can have "Unshackled"-like transformation stories if we actually opened our eyes to the reality of the binding sins that undermine our attempts to enjoy life the way God intended.
Jennie and I have watched all year long, praying, praying, praying for perseverance. Thank you for the inspiration you've been. Keeping it off will require the same supernatural joy of the Gospel as getting it off. Persevere.
Thanks, Bob. Did you read my initial post on my "diet" blog? Maybe I should make that public now and post that. In writing today's paper, I "assumed" people would have read the other, but obviously I did not make that one public, so most would not have read it. Probably should post it.
You are my amazing daughter. Your fb article was very well done, and so genuine. I am so pleased. Many many prayers are being answered before our eyes. Was so wonderful having you here with us, last week. I miss you. Wish we'd had more father daughter time together than we did, but cherish the moments we had. Love Dad
Yay! You look so amazing!
Donna! This post brought a very big smile to my face. I'm so proud of you! You look great! Thanks for posting!
Wow! Putting those to pictures side by side really helps to put things in perspective! You look simply marvelous, dear. I am SOOOO proud of you and encouraged about all that God is doing in your life. Love you!!!
And, btw, I'm totally with you on the moodiness thing, too. I've tried to communicate this several friends who justify everything with their "female perogative"--since when does that justify sin? There, that was my soap box for the day!
Good job, Donna!!! Yay!
Very proud of you, Donna. You've inspired me, as well!
