The Browns

A beautiful day! We Northerners are in shock. 70 plus degrees. After we left the Minnies we called the Browns who have traveled down from Rocky Mount, NC to spend the weekend. They have five children. The youngest one is adopted from China. And she is beautiful.

We met them in downtown Greenville. The kids splashed at the base of the falls for over an hour. Two of them fell in and got quite wet. They are a very sweet family with well-behaved children. We've been friends for years.

Somehow our relationship has endured the necessary sanctification changes - not all relationships do. But apparently our progress has been in sync enough to keep us enjoying one another. That's rare.

Shannon and I are at the Atlanta Bread Company while the kids nap because he is looking up some pictures that he wants to show to Tim's church tomorrow. He is going to give a testimony about adopting Grace. Be sure to look at the link I shared here.

We had a wonderful time with y'all. Your family is such an encouragement to us. As for all that growing and in sync stuff, I don't know what all that means, except to say that you don't have the same agility you used to have in the dorm back in college when there were certain competitions that took place ; )

Seriously, to all of you Bixbys reading this, let me just say that you are a group of wonderful people. Thank you for sharing with us this weekend!

The only thing I do know is that you don't have the same agility you had in the dorm when there were certain competitions that took place between you and Nate ; )
