The cake turned out pretty good, though it was quite the saga getting it accomplished!! Miriam's favorite gift was, of course, the baby doll. Clothes may have been Mommy's favorite, but the doll from her Mommy and Daddy certainly stole the show! It was fun!

Thanks for all your well-wishes to Miriam. I read them all to her. She thoroughly enjoyed this birthday! Since we began by celebrating a few weeks ago, she has been fully in birthday mode for more than 2 weeks! We would catch her playing by herself in her bedroom singing "Happy Dirthday to you" and then carefully blowing out imaginary candles. She lived up this birthday to the fullest, and it made her mama especially sentimental to see how much she was enjoying it. Auntie Donna's cake was indeed beautiful.
Look at all of that FUN! Does the new member of the family have a name yet? We can help Miriam name her if she needs, it you know! ;-) So glad that she had such a fun day. Did you get any video of her singing to herself in her room, Ruth? That would be a classic! SO CUTE!!!
The new baby's name is "Martine". Aunties Johanna & Donna helped us out with that. Of course, you know it had to be another "M"! (Again, ...not intentional!!!) No, aunt b, I'm afraid I didn't get any video. What an awful mom!
Martine is very FRENCH TOO!!! Good choice!
No video? Oh well. Just write it in her baby book (I'm just SO GOOD AT THAT YOU KNOW!!!! HA!) :-)
Uncle Danno brought something back just for our little 2 year old. We'll try and hurry it to your mail box!
