Pigs in a Blanket

Day 3:

This is Laura Walker. Today, we had to make 400 pigs in a blanket for a wedding in two weeks. So, we started an assembly line. Maria, on the right, cut the dough, while Albert, who you can't see, cut the hot dogs. Jeff and I, on the end, wrapped the hot dogs in the dough. We were making those things very quickly. However, at the same time, Alicia, Miss Bixby, Crystal, and Mrs. Bixby had to make 200 mini pizzas, also for the wedding. That took a little longer; however, we got them done. We figured out that the bottleneck in our otherwise perfect assembly line was the oven. It just wasn't big enough for all of the trays! We had a great time. If you are wondering where Ethan and Chip were, they were at a teenage boys' meeting. They had a very good time there. They played foosball, and basketball, and according to the boys, they were "on fire," because apparently the net was only 7 feet high, so they could dunk. After the games, they had a Bible study time. This evening, we had a choir practice. That was also very fun. In other words, we had a great day! Posted by Picasa

That's a lot of little covered-up piglets! Thanks for the updates & pics. (Someday we'll post something if Bob ever gets home from the Shepherds' Conference and tells us how.)

The assembly line reminds me of making sugar cookies for college and career fellowships. It looks like fun. Thanks for the updates.
