Daddy's promise lots of things when a little girl is hurting at the loss of her dear little birds. Our birds took to the sky a little over two weeks ago when their cage got tipped over outside. Patience has been promised a puppy for a few years now, but she finally got her Dad to put feet to his words. We brought Milou home with us just last Friday and it has been an adventure since. He is adorable and lots of fun for everyone, but Mom will be especially greatful when he is housetrained.

Whew. Thanks for breaking the ice, you guys. We were a little nervous that we might end up in the "doghouse" if we had been the first of the Bixby clan to bring home a canine. Now that the coast is clear, we'll hurry up and wait a while.
Then again, perhaps we should wait until Mom's verdict is out of the bag. Mom .... what do you have to say?
As mom sits and ponders what to comment under this blog.....let Auntie Brenda congratulate the new Bixby member. We are so happy it's you and not us, we'll send you whatever you want!!!! :-) Chocolate from France?! Soup bones?! You definitely have the cutest puppy of all, Patience. What an adorable face he has! We are so so so so so so happy for you. Keep us up to date on the house training, OK Bob?!

You know, I was just thinking this morning, was Mi LOU named after a favorite AUTIE?! Sorry Ruth, Sorry Jo, Sorry Donna.
Ahh ..Yes, Brenda MiLou, but thanks for clueing in all the other aunties that are now going to be so very jealous!! We thought it was such a cunning name that no one would detect! Now we shall have to add some names;-) Let's see.. Milou Joruthie, that should do it! :-)Or should it be "Mama-MiLou Joruthie"?
