Goodbye to Old Faithful

After nearly 7 years of excellent service, we're afraid we've driven our little escort for the last time. As you can see from the top left picture, I was hit right in the driver's door. The glass was shattered and none of it stayed in the door. It was scattered all over the car (and me). The large SUV that hit me hardly suffered a scratch. The other person was cited as solely contributing to the accident, so we should get some money back. I am fine and rejoicing in God's protection over me. It is sobering to think how fast our lives could have changed. Life truly is fragile.

Praise the Lord for His protection! I just received the call from mom and decided to see if you'd blogged. Wow!

Sometimes cars just have to be put to sleep. Thank God for a good car that came with reliable service and Divine protection.

rejoicing that you were protected and that the other ones have to pay. (that sounds so terrible for their sake, but it really is such a great reason to be glad!)

What a testimony of God's grace! Praise God that you're not hurt and will be getting some money.

Praise the Lord for His protection. I guess it is good it was the car and not the van. Might have slowed deputation down a bit!

So grateful that you are safe. I'm sad to see the escort go to, but would rather that, than other options.

Wow, Tim--it does make you realize how quickly something like that can change your entire life. Praise God for His protective hand on you.
