The Orchestre Municipale de Bordeaux had an free concert tonight at Cours Mably (right by where Pierre lived when he was in Bx.) It was a beautiful night--a bit on the chilly side--but very nice! It was a concert of American music!!! O well, at least it was in the beautiful French air and architecture! Great evening.

Oh, so fun! Wish we could have been there with you :-)
The music was mainly Gershwin (sp?) and whoever it was that wrote "my fair lady." Very nice.
But my favorite was "The Blue and the Gray" by Grundman. I almost shouted "yea, Dixie!" but behaved myself. A guy in the back didn't--he shouted at the end! It was nice.
